Beginning a session
I like to take a moment & allow the horse some "say" before I begin working on them. A few seconds running my hands over them tells me a LOT about how they are feeling, what areas they might be protecting & their overall comfort. Listening is watching their subtle cues and letting them know you hear them.

Working above the horses bracing mechanism allows the horse to show me where they are holding tension and how I can help them release it. It's the subtle responses that I look for during a session letting the horse know I see them, I'm listening. I can only work as fast as the horse will allow.

Letting go of tension comes in all forms & fidgets. Horses will ultimately show a pattern before releasing tension. Each horse is unique and requires a present state of mind for best results.
